Although we have a membership model whereby a single membership payment entitles members to access all groups without extra charge for venue hire, some groups do incur extra sundry costs for a variety of other reasons.

For example, some music groups charge for the hire or purchase of musical scores and/or the payment of piano accompanists. For groups which have paid tutors as leaders, it has been our policy to ask members to make a small supplementary payment to ensure that tuition is given by a qualified paid instructor, with their own professional insurance, in a safe environment. Groups may also be charged a nominal fee for tea or coffee if the meeting lasts 2 hours or more, or may be asked to purchase a drink if a public venue is used such as a pub or restaurant. Please check with the Group Leader before joining the group to see if any other charges apply.
