Diana Laffin: Women and Terrorism 1870-1930
Over the years many women have played a prominent part in campaigns to fight for independence and human rights, hence being involved, as were the suffragettes, in acts of violence to gain publicity for their causes. Diana, a member of Guildford u3a, looks at some of these women and explores the issue of whether they should be regarded as freedom fighters or terrorists.
Talk starts at 2:30pm and is preceded by a jigsaw/book exchange, tea and chat starting at 2:00pm
